Background

Maxime Hoes is part of the expertise group Corporate Restructuring. She primarily focuses on the national and international / cross-border company law and contract law.

Maxime is currently on rotation at Donahue & Partners LLP’s Chicago branch office.

Maxime was an active member of the pro bono commission of HVG Law from 2019 up until 2023. Maxime was also an active member of EYNovation, in which she assisted startups and scale ups, when she started at HVG Law up until she started her rotation to the US in 2023.

Maxime advises a wide range of clients, including publicly traded companies, on all aspects of corporate and company law and cross-border and domestic restructuring and refinancing projects.

Maxime focuses on all facets of corporate legal project delivery – from contract structuring, drafting and negotiation through the coordination and implementation of multi-jurisdictional restructuring projects.

Additional information

Maxime graduated from Tilburg University with an LL.M. degree in Law & Technology in June 2016. In addition, Maxime graduated from the University of Minnesota with an LL.M. degree in American Law with a business law concentration in May 2017. She graduated from Tilburg University with an LL.M. in business law in August 2017. Maxime joined HVG Law in May 2018.

In 2023 Maxime successfully completed the postgrad corporate law specialization course of Grotius Academy (association of Dutch universities).

Maxime is admitted to the Dutch bar and the New York State Bar. Maxime is also admitted to the Illinois State Bar as a foreign legal practitioner.
