Co-determination: an important tool for a well-functioning company

Commitment and satisfaction

Listening to the views and interests of their employees is essential for the proper functioning of companies. It contributes to employee engagement and satisfaction and can also create support for decisions to be made.

It pays to properly organise co-determination within the company. Based on the law, companies may even be obliged to set up a participation body – for example, a works council if the company employs 50 employees or more – but there are also other forms of co-determination.
