Our rap­idly chan­ging world is wit­ness­ing the rise of new tech­no­lo­gies that are becom­ing increas­ingly integ­rated into our daily lives. Block­chain tech­no­logy is one such example. More and more people are recog­niz­ing the poten­tial and bene­fits of block­chain and are there­fore invest­ing heav­ily in this emer­ging tech­no­logy. This res­ults in an increase in the interests sur­round­ing block­chain, mak­ing it increas­ingly neces­sary to reg­u­late this tech­no­logy leg­ally. Although there is still a lot of uncer­tainty about how the leg­al aspects of block­chain should be approached, nation­al law­makers are work­ing hard to adapt cur­rent legis­la­tion to this new tech­no­logy. In addi­tion, Europe is work­ing intens­ively on new legis­la­tion spe­cific­ally aimed at block­chain.

HVG Law has assembled a team of law­yers and not­ar­ies with their own spe­cial­ties, includ­ing Cor­por­ate M&A, Digit­al, Cyber & Pri­vacy, Fin­an­cial Reg­u­lat­ory, Com­pet­i­tion, civil and not­ari­al law. These spe­cial­ties are applied with­in the new block­chain and cypto­activ­it­ies tech­no­lo­gies. It is also pos­sible to make use of the spe­cial­ists of EY NL and the EY Law net­work in a mul­tidiscip­lin­ary team of law­yers, tax spe­cial­ists and fin­an­cial and stra­tegic experts. This col­lab­or­a­tion has already proven its value and is there­fore also used in this new innov­at­ive world of block­chain and cryptoassets.
