On 26 May 2021, the District Court of The Hague issued a ground-breaking judgment in the class action case filed against Royal Dutch Shell plc (RDS) by Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth Netherlands) et al.
The Court ordered RDS to reduce the CO2 emissions of the Shell group by just 45% in 2030.
