The European Com­mis­sion recently pub­lished its pro­posed revised Pay­ment Ser­vices pack­age.

The pub­lished pro­pos­als sup­port pay­ments and data-driv­en innov­a­tion with the con­sumer at the heart. The pro­pos­als aim to improve con­sumer pro­tec­tion and sup­port com­pet­i­tion in elec­tron­ic pay­ments, as well as enabling a wider range of per­son­al­ised fin­an­cial products based on con­sumers choos­ing to share their data securely.
