Partner Sijmen de Lange: “HVG Law led the M&A process when Connectis has been partially acquired by SIDN in 2016/2017. The business has developed under the wings of new leadership since. An offer they couldn’t refuse made this pearl of the IT identity market to be divested to a Norwegian PE player, who works on a buy-and-build platform of pan-European scale”.

HVG Law advises SIDN and 2050 Capital with the sale of Connectis to Signicat and the subsequent reinvestment by the shareholders the combined entity.

SIDN and 2050 Capital have sold 100% of the shares in Connectis Group B.V. Connectis is an identity infrastructure provider that connects organizations, sectors and nations. Currently, over 350 organizations use Connectis’ certified Identity Broker to identify over 14 million customers online. The software and eRecognition tokens developed by Connectis are used by over 50,000 organizations to ensure that they can securely access a broad range of public and private services.

Signicat provides services in the field of digital security and has a reach of over 900 customers.
