William Slooff is part of the expertise group Financial services at HVG Law since 2019. He advises financial institutions, including banks and asset managers, as well as non-financial institutions that are subject to financial regulatory law.
William has experience advising domestic and international financial institutions on the application of the Dutch Financial Supervision Act and related laws and regulations. More specifically in relation to license applications, requirements for branches and subsidiaries and market conduct supervisory provisions.
He is specialized in the following areas:

William graduated in financial law from the Erasmus Univerity Rotterdam in 2018 (LL.M). He also holds a Public Management master’s degree (M.Sc) from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and took part in an exchange programme at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark in 2014.
William is a member of the Dutch Association for Financial Law.
