Martin Kaptein is a member of the corporate law and insolvency law sections. He is mainly involved in the supervison of transactions, directors liability, (impending) insolvency situations and the settlement of bankruptcies; he gives advice and conducts litigation.
Martin has wide experience in corporate law practice and specialises in the areas of company law, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, non-limited partnerships and other contractual alliances and proceedings relating to these. In addition, he advises entrepreneurs on difficulties and possibilities in the area of bankruptcies and restructuring projects, directors liabilities and corporate governance.
Additional informationMartin graduated from the University of Utrecht in 2000. He has been a lawyer since 2001 and joined HVG Law in 2005. In 2007 and 2008 he worked at the Dutch Legal Desk at Donahue & Partners LLP in New York.
In 2009 Martin completed the postdoctoral specialisation programme Corporate Law at the Grotius Academy cum laude.
Martin regularly publishes on various subjects in the area of corporate law.
