Joost is a partner in the expertise Financial Services. He has more than 18 years of experience as a financial regulatory specialist. Joost started his career at the Dutch financial regulator (AFM). After that he worked in the banking sector for 5 years (ABN AMRO Bank and ING Bank) and he worked as a lawyer for 9 years (Allen & Overy).

Joost has experience in the broadest sense in the financial regulatory area. He is experienced in cross-border projects (M&A / restructuring) and its regulatory requirements. He assists with license application for various financial institutions and setting up the control- / policy framework. He regularly advises clients on cross-border strategies and remediation projects with regard to legal / compliance issues.
